BEYOND BORDERS

Green-Sun-Poster-Lowres.png

Beyond Borders is a coming together of photographers from differing backgrounds, experiences, insights, styles and tastes, collectively bringing to fore our lives’ works, believing these can be a catalyst for reckoning. Nature is the subject that provides the platform for our unity while celebrating diversity and each one’s ethnicity. For nature knows no borders nor boundaries.

We are all global citizens and thus consider ourselves environmental stewards of the planet. Wherever we are in our own patch in the universe, it is nature that binds us together and blurs all the lines set by man himself.

If there is one thing that can defeat time, it is these images that we present. And we have both the profound responsibility and great honor of preserving the beauty that surrounds our universe, to hold a moment in history – for future generations.

We belong to a global generation where we need to be able to work on teams of unique individuals, views and experiences. We’ve learned to jointly innovate, work collaboratively and creatively and transcend borders and disciplines.

The images that we capture are the universal language of our era, calling everyone’s attention to the beauty we miss out on everyday, directing each one’s eyes and hearts to look, look harder, look differently. Look with their eyes, through our lens.

OUTCAST
The thirsty farmer plows and tills the dry soil from dusk until dawn, his parched skin a result of staying under the scorching orange sky. The veins in his arms and legs are pronounced because of the extreme effort he puts out just to bring food to the table— whose table, he does not know. He lives his life in the center of his field, toiling alone and barely surviving.

CRUSADE
The rain isn’t always enough, so the farmer adds sweat and tears. The red hue of the grains reveals his blood, too. Months go by and the field ripens, but the farmer wonders how long his hands can work, how far the fruits of his labor can reach.

RECOGNITION

A little appreciation is what he begs. Just a little dash of light from his crusade. The farmer wishes there was somebody by his side, who would be willing to stand on his field, not to take what’s left, but to grow deep roots and high branches with him.

GLORIOUS
The old farmer still has some hope. He awaits when the sun would beam above him to shine on his vast and verdant growth. He hopes that one day his story would be told. But most importantly, he dreams of always being with the earth, his feet flat on the ground, but his head high as the clouds in the sky.
